day this franchise has won many World Series. What contributes to the Yankees
success in the sports industry is the signing of big name players such as Alex
Rodriguez, Cc Sabathia, and Derek Jeter. Players such as the ones listed brings out
fans and the ticket sales always have a positive impact. Merchandise and products of
the New York Yankees play a major part for fans. Products such as jerseys and t shirts
of certain players of the team brings much needed success to the sport of baseball
The New York Yankees since have started out has not had many seasons that were
not successful and they also have arguably one of the best fan bases
Strength
The fan base is very dedicated to the New York Yankees; they support the
organization by purchasing tickets, products, and going to the stadium to view the
games. This franchise is one of the most valuable franchises in the Major League
Baseball and have won many World Series in the past. The New York Yankees had
stars like Babe Ruth, Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter. They are knowing for having
the best talent because of the wealth of the organization. This organization brings in
millions of dollars of revenue a year.
Weaknesses
One weakness can be the customer service. The New York Yankees is a team that is up tempo and could do a better job on meeting there fans needs when coming to support. Another weakness is the New York Yankees have a major fan base and have limited parking. Because of the fan base, the New York Yankees should look into expanding there parking, to accommodate all the fans. Lastly the New York Yankees have over priced seats and they have to price the seats high because of the cost of the stadium.
Opportunities The Yes Network is expanding and is creating different streaming avenues for the New York Yankees. The New York Yankees host the MLB classic game which entails bringing in more revenue and more fans from all over the world to support the event Lastly The New York Yankees merchandise sales increase the teams popularity
Threats The New York Mets is in the same demographic area which gives the Yankees competition. Dye to the talent that the Yankees bring in they could run into Salary cap issues in the near future. Those talented players want millions of dollars a year which can cause a financial issue for the Yankees. Lastly The New York Yankees is one of baseballs major teams and they can face security risks and threats.
The New York Yankees consumers are fans of the MLB and of New York Yankees.
