Gag clauses have caught the attention of state policymakers that are seeking to lower prescription drug cost. Patients and families do not understand that certain drugs can be purchased at a cash price and cost less. Pharmacies are not educating the patients on their options for cost efficiency. At what level in the policy making process is the issue?
