Reading Guide 8 1.) The fallacy is that he references "good" in two aspects. In the first sentence, he says that all things are aimed at some good, the good here being subjective, because it's open to interpretation as to who the good is for and what it's ultimate purpose serves. The second sentence, that THE good is what all things aim for references good in an objective sense, meaning good for all of humanity, but that cannot be accurately concluded from the first, because they are different measures of good. 2.) A girl, Jenna, is addicted to cocaine. She used to only do it at parties with her friends, but loved the way it makes her feel, and now uses daily. She spends all her paychecks on drugs, got kicked out of her apartment because she missed rent too many times, and recently lost her job because she went to work high. But every time she uses, Jenna feels so happy! Jenna's friends and family all tell her she needs to turn her life around, she has no money or a roof over her head, but she still feels like her life is going really well, because she feels happy!
