Human Anatomy and Physiology

University of the people Anatomy And Physiology Human Body (Shelly Watkins (instructor October 2022 Even in people who seem to be healthy, significant changes in the cardiovascular system occur as they get older. As people get older, they experience various changes in their bodies. Changes in the cardiovascular system, like any other system in the body, are not uncommon. The aim of this paper is to chronicle the changes that occur in the human cardiovascular system while also highlighting the anatomy and physiology of the system. The structural change in the cardiovascular system, as well as the ensuing functional changes, can lead to a variety of life-threatening problems and conditions, such as high blood pressure. In this work, I will discuss a structural (anatomical) change in the structure of the heart and blood vessels as well as the functional (physiological) modifications that are expected to occur as a result. However, in reading chapters 19 and 20, I will demonstrate my understanding of the topic and describe at least four anatomical and/or physiological concepts related to the functional order of the human circulatory system as they relate to the clinical situation it offers. According to OpenStax (2018), the circulatory system is often known as the vascular system or only the circulatory system. It consists of a muscular pumping device called the heart and a closed system of vessels called arteries, veins and capillaries. The heart pumps the blood of the circulatory system around a closed circle or circle of blood vessels as it passes through the body's various "cycles," as the term suggests (OpenStax, 2018). The cardiovascular and the blood itself are the three main components of the cardiovascular system. The heart, which is placed inside the thoracic cavity, the medium between the lungs in the mediastinum, is the pump of the organ, and the blood arteries are the pathways through which blood and other nutrients are transfused (OpenStax, 2018). Even in healthy people, significant changes in the cardiovascular system occur as they get older. The deposition of collagen and calcium as well as the loss of elastic fibers in the middle layer leads to the thickening and hardening of the main arteries (Fleg & Strait, 2011). As a result. changes occur with age in each person, and not at the same rate even at the same time, which makes it important to take into account the differences that appear in some people between physiological ages According to Cheitlin (2003), as people get older, cardiovascular systems also change. From the age of twenty, the arteries of the heart and blood begin to develop gradually over time, until now in healthy cardiovascular systems. These changes are indicators that occur in the cardiovascular system and cannot be prevented because they occur in every person regardless of age, although the duration and rate vary Heart rate or rhythm, changes in cardiac morphology, thickening of heart valves and blood arteries, and a variety of other changes may occur.
