The significance of bone health cannot be overstated merely because it provides a number of
advantages to humans. Furthermore, it is critical to the community's overall health and well-being. Healthy bones give the body a framework that promotes mobility and protects against harm, according to the advantage overemphasized by the community. Another crucial aspect of bone health would be that it acts as a reservoir for nutrients that are necessary for the smooth functioning of several other self-sustaining processes in our bodies. Furthermore, our bones contain minerals such as calcium and phosphorus, which help to maintain our bones' healthy and transfer them into the body when needed. On the other hand, diseased bones are less effective in performing these activities. Healthy bones, on the other hand, perform badly in these duties and can lead to crippling fractures (OpenStax, 2018))
In my nation, Gambia, there is a major difference between what has been learned and why it is used by healthcare professionals. The most serious issue in this situation is a lack of public and healthcare professional knowledge of bone illnesses. As a result, as a community healthcare provider, I will promote bone health in my community in a variety of ways, including the following.
I will encourage my community and others in the surrounding areas to engage in daily physical activity for at least 30 to 50 minutes, or four times a week. Climbing stairs, walking, walking out, and other weight-bearing workouts can help people maintain good bone health throughout their lives (NIH bookshelf, n.d.). Another key element of this research, according to the National Institute of Health(NIH) (n.d.), is that by implementing what has already been understood about early prevention, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, great gains in the bone health status of Americans can be made. In fact, the evidence strongly suggests that it can aid in the development of strong bones and the prevention of osteoporosis due to bone disease. This may be done by exposing yourself to the sun for as little time as possible in order to receive vitamin D; this can be achieved through diet and naturally as indicated, and by teaching individuals how vital calcium-rich foods are in helping to strengthen their bones. Furthermore, through educating the public about the principles of bone health, as well as techniques to avoid bone damage and maintain healthy bones (NIH bookshelf, n.d.). I feel that there should be ongoing medical mandatory training for healthcare personnel on the field so that they can continue to communicate the importance of good bone health to the general public and patients that attend the clinic or hospital. Following this technique will help to minimize the distance between something learned and why it is implemented by healthcare professionals in my nation as small as possible. The bone illness usually appears later in life, but the value of preventing it at a young age and sustaining it throughout life is well established, therefore I will convey this information to the youngsters to encoura
