To find an answer, create an index that you can distribute to students in our class. (i) Conceptualize the dependent variable. (ii) Why would you create an index instead of just asking one question, such as "How much did you enjoy your experiences at UBC during your first semester?" (iii) Operationalize your dependent variable by specifying 5 items that would you include in the index. Assess each item along the criteria for item selection (see lecture notes).
