Statistical Review The study investigated the effects of moderate versus high resistance training on muscle growth, body composition, and performance in collegiate women. 20 women with no prior resistance training were used throughout the study. The study used compound movements such as the back squat and overhead press to train individuals. These women were divided into two training groups where one group used repetition ranges between 5 - 7 and the other group used repetition ranges between 10 - 14. The response variables were strength, power, body composition, and arm and thigh cross sectional area. These were tested against the independent variable of repetition range. The variable type is continuous Strength outcomes will be the same in heavy-loaded groups when compared to moderate-loaded groups (Null Hypothesis) > 0.05 The primary findings of the study show that progression in muscle growth, body composition, and performance is the same in both moderately and heavily loaded groups.
