"Think of your customers beyond just numbers. Be curious about their feelings, hopes, fears, and the unique stories they have to share with you." - Purin Phanichphant I chose this quote that I found in this week's readings because I thought it was extremely important when understanding design thinking. Design thinking is all about "creating user- driven solutions to problems big and small" (Matrix, 2020). Listening to user feedback and implementing that feedback into one's design can lead to the product's success. It is therefore important to stay curious and understand the needs of your customers. Additionally, this quote touches on the concept of service design which seeks "to build a more holistic and human-centred service experience for users" (Matrix, 2020). It is important to build a product that is geared towards your customers and to do that, you must engage with your customer base to ensure that you are giving them what they need. Therefore, it is important for the designer to employ empathic research methods to truly understand how users feel and to understand how to ameliorate the user experience. In this week's readings, Tim Brown talks about the three stages of design thinking, the last stage being the implementation stage. In this stage, one can create low-fidelity prototypes and gain user feedback from these prototypes. This will help improve their initial design. To do this one must engage their customers in the design process and think of their customers "beyond just numbers". In conclusion, customer feedback is crucial to a product's success. Works Cited:

I agree that empathy is extremely important in the field of design thinking. A big part of this week's readings focused on the importance of customer feedback when designing a product and to gain that feedback, it is important to understand the users' needs by conducting empathetic research methods. I liked your connection of the image with the quote that you have chosen. Thanks for sharing!
