Safeguards Against Abuse of Power in Government

1. We need to provide safeguards against abuse of power. We need to keep each of the powers in check by using ideas like separation of powers, checks and balances, and federalism. This will allow clearer judgement and better structure of government. 2. "Separate and distinct exercise of the different powers of government" 3. "those who administer each department the necessary constitutional means and personal motives to resist encroachments of the others 4. This prevents people getting to far on their own personal ideals. If the person gets too power hungry then the other branches can put a stop to it. 5. The chief check is a dependance on the people. Yes because it taught mankind the necessity of auxiliary precautions 6. The legislative 7.
