French 3 Module: Le monde francophone Project 3 Un pays francophone Assignment Purpose: For this assignment you will, in French, talk about un pays francophone of your choosing, but NOT FRANCE. French is the language to be used for this project. You will present this assignment visually, textually, and orally in French. A minimum of 5 slides of content (a title slide with your name and course is NOT considered one of the 5 slides). 2. Information about the country, its geography, other languages spoken there, if any, important holidays /and or traditions. Look at the following questions. Use them to help you form the text for your project. The questions are just a guide. You are welcome to include what you want. You may want to include information you do not see asked about below: · Où se trouve le pays francophone que vous avez choisi ? · Quels sont les caractéristiques géographiques importantes ? · Est-ce qu'il y a des fleuves ou rivières importants ? · Est-ce que le français est la seule langue parlée dans le pays que vous avez choisi ou est-ce qu'il y a d'autres langues parlées dans le pays ? · Est-ce qu'il y a des évènements importants dans l'histoire du pays que vous avez choisi ? · Y a-t-il des personnages importants de ce pays ? 3. Be sure to include grammar concepts from this module, Le monde francophone. Below is grammar you must include in your project (not every slide, of course, but show that you understand and can use this grammar correctly): · le passé composé · prepositions with geography · comparisons and superlatives Possible Project Formats: PowerPoint (the easiest format for you to use since you can download it for free through GaVS and your Office 365 account), Prezi, PowToon, GoAnimate, CamStudio, a video 3 No matter what format you choose, this project is a presentation. GaVS does not endorse one format over the other. Again, you can download and use PowerPoint for free through your GaVS Office 365 account.
Your presentation must include: 1) text, 2) visuals, and 3) audio of you speaking/presenting the content of your project in French. Your audio must be embedded in your project. 4) Google how to embed audio in your PowerPoint. There are many ways to embed audio in a PowerPoint. Important point 3 do NOT link files in your presentation to files on your computer. Why? Because your teacher does not have access to the files to which you are linking on your computer. That is why you must EMBED the audio, not link it. Ask your teacher if you have questions about how to embed audio in your presentation. You must be able to upload your project to the appropriate folder. GaVS teachers CANNOT open a Google document. Do NOT submit a Google doc in any form. Submit your project to the folder entitled: Le monde francophone
