ESSAY A team is a group of people that come together to achieve a common goal. The organization gets many benefits from the team and team members like it are easy to accomplish the goal faster when an individual works in the team rather than alone as all the team members have each other back that's why work never suffers. It also develops the employee as they have the opportunity to learn from each other. In this way working in a team is beneficial to both the employee and the management. Both the Big 'L' and small 'l' of leadership is important in the organization. In big 'L' leadership, the top management decides the working of the company whereas the small 'l' leadership is an exercise by the individual when they work in the groups. The organization can use this strategy by decentralized the role and responsibility of the team members. This is benefited to the team member as they will get motivated and can make their own decision regarding their work and team (Ndalamba, et. al., 2018). This makes them more responsible towards the team and the organization and improves analytical thinking and builds confidence in the employee regarding the decision-making process. The organization faces failure when they fail to provide a sense of belongingness and security to the employee. The organization needs to provide an open environment for the employees. It helps them to grow. The organization should establish the free flow of communication in the team where the employee can freely exchange ideas, suggestions, grievances, etc. this forms a strong collaboration in the team, leads to the growth of the team and its member. Motivation is the key to success. Motivation helps the employees to overcome their fear of performance, their bosses, colleagues, etc. It boosts the morale of the team members. The management should provide psychological safety to the employees which help in developing their learning that results in benefitting the team. Motivated members always aim high and try to raise their standards (Edmondson, 2020). Motivation increases the employee commitment towards the team, improves the satisfaction level of the team member and improves the efficiency of the team. 3
