Position Description Department of Premier and Cabinet Project Support Officer, Communications (Suburban Hubs) The Project Support Officer, Communications will contribute to the successful design and delivery of the VPS Suburban Hubs project, which sits under Program 1 Opportunities workstream. The Program 1 Opportunities workstream is being led by Public Sector Reform and reports through to the Secretary of the Department of Premier and Cabinet. Reporting to the Program Lead, the Project Support Officer will play an integral role by providing communications support and coordination to the project team to ensure the timely delivery of the Suburban Hubs project. The successful candidate will possess well developed planning, organisational and communication skills and experience working as part of a team in a complex and time-pressured environment. The Governance, Policy and Coordination group The Governance Policy and Coordination group is responsible for public sector governance, performance and reform, cabinet management, community security and emergency management, developing community resilience, intergovernmental relations and strategic communication and protocol. The Public Sector Reform Division The Public Sector Reform Division is responsible for leading and coordinating work on issues relating to the performance and reform of the public sector, including workforce reform, outcomes and evidence reform, and public sector innovation. The division supports the Premier, the Minister for Government Services and the Secretary as the head of the Victorian Public Service. The Public Sector Innovation branch The Public Sector Innovation branch at the Department of Premier and Cabinet works to enable and accelerate innovation across the Victorian public sector by: · Providing cross-government innovation training, events, and networking opportunities through the Innovation Network · Supporting behavioural change capability across government through the Behavioural Insights Unit · Providing funding and other support for innovative projects across government. Remote Working Transition (RWT) Project The RWT project is focused on post-crisis reform opportunities for the Victorian Public Sector workforce. A key objective of the project is to support a whole of Victorian Government (WoVG) approach to transitioning into a hybrid or dispersed working environment
