This personal reflection journal will allow me to look back on the events and group work that happened this semester in Advanced Innovative Business Practices. It will help to explain the behaviours that were displayed throughout the group work as well as discussing what went right and what went wrong during the assignments with the aiding of the team charter that was made at the start of the semester. Throughout the semester we faced many difficulties due to the current circumstances of having to complete our work online rather than face-to-face in a classroom environment, but luckily for us we were able to overcome these difficulties due to weekly team meetings and having a strict schedule. The first two weeks of this semester was face-to-face learning, however, due to the 'COVID 19' pandemic this was quickly switched over to remote learning from home. In the two weeks we had face-to-face, we had formed our teams and had a little bit of time to get to know each other. After this, everything else was done online at home. Because of this, me and my team had to be very organised and have everything planned out before we started any of the work. The main benefits of successful planning are increased efficiency, reduced risks, facilitates coordination, assists in organising, gives the right direction, maintains control, helps achieve objectives, motivates people, encourages creativityttinnovation, and also helps in overall decision making (Akrani 2ft12). Fortunately, my team and I planned extremely well with the use of a team charter we created at the start of the semester and a project plan. A team charter has many positive effects such as - allowing the team to have a shared vision of the projects success, clearing up the roles and responsibilities required from each member, identifying a clear scope and milestones to be had, improving the overall communication within the team, as well as having resource implications (Knutson 2ft15). In our team charter we listed each of our individuals' strengths and weaknesses as well as coming up with three personal objectives for all team members to abide by throughout the entire semester. These objectives are - - Attending all team meetings and notice must be given beforehand if anyone is unable to attend. - Keeping in touch with everyone (strong communication) which includes letting the rest of the team know if you cannot attend meeting or finish the work before the deadline. - Setting team objectives each week for constant progression. Setting work deadlines before the actual due date to make sure we are on top of everything. My team and I followed all three of these objectives throughout the entire semester. We had weekly meetings in which not one member ever missed, and if the time allocated for the meeting didn't suit one team member, we would communicate to find a positive solution which usually ended up being a time switch to later that dayttnight. We also had very strong communication by setting up a Facebook
