The marital status of the sample was collected and analysed. The random sample was composed of 110 Australian adults. A bar chart (Figure 1.) represents the percentage of Australian Adults who are either "Married", "Divorced", "Never married" or "Other". The most common response category with a percentage of 41.8% was the marital status "Married". 38.2% of the sample report their marital status as "Never married", while 12.7% of the sample report their marital status as "Divorced". The Total Expenditure per week of the sample was collected and analysed. The random sample was comprised of 82 Australian adults. A histogram (Figure 2.) The shape of the distribution is positively skewed with 4 extreme cases as outliers. The 4 extreme cases had a total expenditure (per week) of over $650, including the highest score of the sample of $665. 50% of the total weekly expenditure was $185 or less.
