However, a paired samples t- test shows that this difference in mean height ( *= = 0.92cm, sd= 5.12cm) is not significant, /(11) = 0.62, p = . 548. The 95% confidence interval indicates that, on average, boys' self-reported heights are between 4.17cm less and 2.34cm more than their actual measured heights. There is insufficient evidence to suggest that boys' self- reported heights differ from their actual measured heights.
