SECTION 1 - THE GRADUATE OCCUPATION 1. Introduction I want to set up a standard and guidelines for building in our country "Cambodia". I have been working as internship in Geotechnical laboratory at Swinburne University for close to a year now. I'm doing Civil Engineering at Swinburne when I talk to other student about Geotechnical Engineering. Everyone think that Geotechnical is a boring course, unlike Steel design or Concrete design or Road engineering. And I used to agree with them, however since I started working in the laboratory. It's open me to the new way of thinking. Yes, Geotechnical isn't sound and look flashy as another in construction field. But all kind of construction need Geotechnical engineering because it is the foundation of everything we build like road, house, building, dam. I used to think that Civil Engineering is all about constructing building. So I thought that after I completed my study, I'll working in a construction company. But now I'm more passionate on researching new thing, testing, and finding a way to use the martial around for construction propose.
