Part 1 - About the occupation Target Occupation: In the investigation of finding my ideal occupation in the future, it would be to become an Air Freight Operator somewhat in a Manufacturing, Transport and Logistics Industry where they work with Aviation Services such as Freight and Cargo Forwarding. During the pandemic of COVID-19 the realisation of the Aviation Industry declining in jobs was very disappointing and stressful for me. Seeing how the Aviation Industry was booming late last year, is now at lowest point ever in history, it'll take many years for it to come back and as strong as it was in 2019. As my passion and interest for the Aviation Industry I focused my study in Aviation Management and Business, majoring in Global Logistics and Supply Chain. As my studies got further into the Business Industry, my interest grew overtime into the logistics and supply chain. Learning about how supplies from around the world get transported from one country to another by air/water was a huge eye opener for me. As the pandemic grows and lockdowns pro-long the demand of online shopping, essentials, needs and wants increase, the demand deliveries have risen. Therefore, more supplies need to be transported through Victoria, and the only way that can happen is through transportation companies through Freight and Cargo. Position Description: JOB TITLE: Air Freight Operator JOB TYPE: Front-Line Resources management LOCATION: Sydney CBD, Inner West & Eastern Suburbs PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: This position will provide to report to the operations managers, with offices all over the world. The position requires to be responsible for registering and processing of important air documentation. Coordinating and reporting Integrated Cargo Systems and Cargo-wise systems. Preparing and coordinating export airfreight shipments. Booking and coordinating smooth clearance and delivery for important air freight. Provide customer shipment status updates and solutions to customer service team. Ability to work paperless and be agile within the national operations team.
