JOURNAL ENTRY 01 I had my very first Industry project class with Mr. Gilbert and with my other team members Alex, Peter and Adonay. As per usual in the university first day sessions we had to go through the unit outline and what needs to get done by the end of week one. Gilbert outlined how each team should handle all activities and how each member should respond to the responsibilities assigned to themselves. Gil went through the tasks we were assigned and how they were gathered over the month. He also noted that our project lacks details and that we should contact the client for further information on the activities we must complete. Gil discussed about the individual journal and how we should write it, as well as how we should submit the document at the conclusion of the project. We ensured that all team members had a thorough knowledge of the project requirements once the first meeting was scheduled and finished. After sharing couple of emails via Outlook, Adonay reached out to us through Discord, and everyone was on board within couple of hours. We all presented ourselves and spoke about meeting times that were acceptable for everyone. We decided to call via Zoom to Gilbert to see if he had any vacant timings that could be used to cross-reference our schedules. Peter was in charge of all email correspondence as well as prospective client interaction. Discord was also chosen as the major mode of communication. The project requirements were to create a web page for the client's business and a database management system. We briefly divided all the work which must get done among the group members and Adonay and me chose to work on the web application and Alex and Peter went with the database with their prior experience in the field. Lessons learned. I knew I was in for a new challenge after the first lesson because managing all chores is challenging in the present epidemic condition. These activities seemed challenging to me, but I believe they would be simple to do if we were able to devote our whole attention to each point. Starting with the activities that were assigned to us, I was able to complete each of them, allowing me to comprehend each topic addressed throughout the lecture.
JOURNAL ENTRY 02 Gilbert contacted us, and after a discussion with the entire team, we decided on Friday between 2 and 4 p.m. as our dedicated client and group member meeting time frame. For future collaborative projects and resource sharing, the team opted to construct a shared Google Drive. Alex took charge and completed the task on the spot. Before the client meeting, the entire team collaborated on drafting a client interview questionnaire. We all communicated what we discovered after investigating the client's fiCrystal Ter) present work scenario. Lessons learned. I knew I was having a great amount
