D. candidate University of Putra Malaysia M.A. in Psychology Islamic Azad University, Ahwaz Branch Abstract This study deals with social-familiar situation and structure in male killing sentences and with convicts who were called "honour killers" in the end of 2006. The subjects were homogenous and consisted of 40 prisoners. The techniques of research were based on conducted interviews using questionnaires. Theoretical framework was the same structural functionalism theory put forth by Talcott Parsons, four subsystems of society (AGIL) and their interaction-conflict. Honour killing is viewed as dysfunction of cultural subsystems and their paradoxical conflict with the social subsystems and formal norms. To analyze the correlation between the variables and their interactions, several statistical tests and mated tests were employed. The results indicate that the convicts are very young, bachelors, with no criminal records and with at most high school education, an average living income and hand-work jobs. Among the variables, two factors such as formal education and employment showed highly significant correlations. The murders were committed mostly in winter with cold weapons in the Western and
