The questions in Section A require answers about your individual experience of the E- Seminars. The questions in Section B require answers about your experience of working in a group for the E-Seminars. Each Section carries equal marks. You must mark each section out of 15. Your Seminar Tutor will also provide you with a mark, which will be out of 70. This mark will be based on your contribution in E-Seminars as witnessed by the tutor. This mark will also take into account any lack of participation of any individual within the group which is made known to the tutor by the other group members. Your two marks (out Page 1 of 3
of 15 each) and the tutor's mark (out of 70) will be combined to give a mark out of 100. This will be your mark for the E-Seminar element of the assessment of the Contract module. This mark counts for 20% towards the overall mark for the module. SECTION A 1. How did you prepare for the first E-Seminar? Preparation for the first e-seminar entailed getting together as group and sorting out a means of communication between group members. Following this I contacted the group to arrange a time to come together and distribute work in order to prepare for the seminar. Upon meeting, I took the responsibility of assigning each group member a task which would assist us in preparing for the seminar (this was a number of case summaries) and I also did this task myself. These case summaries definitely assisted in the e-seminar itself. 2. Did your method of preparation change for the remaining E-Seminars? Our method of preparation did not change, it did however adapt with time. For example instead of just orchestrating case summaries, we also analysed the scenario beforehand and attempted to provide a brief way in which the scenario applies to our cases that we summarised; this allowed us to save some time during the e-seminar as well as helping us feel more prepared for it. Furthermore, in regard to meeting up as a group, if someone could not meet up for some reason none of us could, we developed a good amount of
