REPUBLIC OF GHANA EMPOWERING LIVES: TRANSFORMING GHANA FOR IMMIDIATE CIRCULATION ACCRA, 18TH JANUARY, 2023 GHANA GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS ABROAD The Ghana Scholarships Secretariat appreciates the financial strain confronted by scholars as a result of delays in payment of stipends and other entitlements. Evidentially, Government is unrelenting on its economic recovery programme and the Secretariat continues to have engagements with institutions to discuss payment of tuition fees which have had positive impact, notwithstanding the few outstanding fees to be settled. It is important to acknowledge the pre-COVID era, where stipends and other scholarship entitlements were paid in advance, demonstrating Government's commitment to payment of scholarship entitlements. As we conclave to consider strategies, we urge our scholars globally to forswear any acts of wrongdoings that will results in embarrassment to the Government of Ghana. In reality, this is the time to exhibit the real character of resilience as a Ghanaian and we advise that Scholars remain steadfast to the terms and conditions of the scholarship award even in the face of these challenges.
