I am currently a presenter at the Dallas Zoo and educate people about nature and wildlife! I love engaging audiences of all ages and teaching them how they can create a better world in a fun and creative way.
I am a certified trainer and have taken courses under Susan Friedman. I have studied Applied Behavior Analysis for several years and seek to find employment that teaches kids in a way where they can thrive in their environment. By placing children in a positive environment, it can empower them to create and share ideas. It can give them the confidence to explore and discover their talents and passions. I have worked with people of all ages and my primary goal is teaching them how to create a better world. Education is a huge part of what I am currently doing and I am confident that I can teach children in a fun and creative way.
Being a part of the wildlife show at the Dallas Zoo has taught me to write scripts. I have written several scripts for 5-minute informal encounters up to a 45-minute formal shows. Not only listing facts to teach people but also doing it in a way that keeps the audience engaged.
Finally, I am a certified interpretive guide through the National Association for Interpretation. This certification gave me the tools needed to effectively give presentations and connect with my audience, no matter the age or topic. I love researching and learning new things. I am confident I can educate students on a variety subjects in biology.
Due to the pandemic, we have switched over to some virtual encounters at the Dallas Zoo. So, I am confident in the technical tools needed for creating educational videos. Please consider my application and know that I am a fast learner and excited at new opportunities.
Thanks so much! I look forward to hearing from you soon.
