Biography

My name is Selcuk. I am 30 years old.I have a true passion for mathematics.I have always wanted to be math-related person.Calculus and advanced math courses are my true passions.I like dealing with challenging math questions.

I have been teaching for 8 years with secondary math in Little Rock, AR.I have taught almost all secondary math courses including calculus , algebra 2 etc.I graduated in 2010 with mathematics degree from faculty of science.During my undergraduate years, I tried to tutor local students for math in preparation of their university admission exams.I prefer both online and one-on-one tutoring sessions.I am currently working on my master degree over curriculum and instruction in Math.I try to use technology and real-life connections for each particular math concepts for my students to be engaged and show them how math is related to our life.I use different assessment tools like math riddles,puzzles,mazes and escape room activities to get my students attention into math.I also use different type of tech tools including google forms,Scientific calculators ,desmos and geogebra.I also like having my students do real-life application projects so that my students will grasp concepts more thoroughly. Aside from my teaching career, I like playing basketball and table tennis in my spare time.

I would like to be helpful for students that i work with as much as possible .Therefore, i value all feedback coming from students and their parents.They can feel free to contact with me at any time for any tutoring-related questions through varsity tutors platform.
