Virginia Tech
Swim Instructor

Biography

I grew up in an Army family and lived in many places but primarily lived in Fayetteville, NC. I chose to study Psychology at Virginia Tech, and while pursuing my B.S. I enlisted in the Army National Guard and was a server. I am passionate about teaching, especially regarding the subject of Psychology. I have developed strong public speaking and educator skills through my experience as a Swim Instructor for the YMCA and as an Infantry Team Leader in the Army. I am very excited about the potential of this role, as I recognize the growing influence of virtual education. I began my college experience as a Biology major, but my Freshman year I had a Psychology professor, Scott Geller, that introduced me into the world of Psychology and I was entranced. From then on I became obsessed with all things Psychology. I hope to be that educator that drives passion into their students that mine did for me.
