Biography

I would hold a weekly review session for organic chemistry 1 topics as well as catch up sessions for students that under-performed on the first and second exams. For the catch up sessions I would create review worksheets. For organic laboratory, I would demonstrate important laboratory techniques, perform analyses on their samples like FTIR, and relate topics from their lectures to the lab experiments we performed.

Organic Chemistry

Kevlar (Section 31.6A) is a very stiff polymer because its backbone contains many aromatic rings and its polymer chains are extensively hydrogen bonded to each other. Draw a short segment of two Kevlar chains, and indicate how the chains are hydrogen bonded to each other.
