Teacher/Instructional Lead

Biography

I was born and raised in California, then I moved to Georgia in 2016 and I have taught high school students for almost 11 years. I have taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Integrated Math 1, Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, Accelerated Algebra 1/Geometry, IB Math Studies, IB Math SL and IB Math Analysis and Approaches SL. I have tutored in all types of settings, including group tutoring, online tutoring and individual tutoring since I was in high school myself so I have lots of experience in this arena. My current students describe me as lively and considerate of others. I have been blessed to fulfill numerous leadership roles throughout my life including managerial positions in retail and department chair for three years. My teaching philosophy starts with building relationships with students and then working with them to impact their growth. I believe that every student who has left my classroom should have learned about the content but also learned more about themselves. I want to build students' confidence in themselves that they will not be intimidated by math but discover and go further than they have gone before.
