Biography

I have a BA in Psychology, and currently hold a Standard Professional Certificate in Maryland as well as a T-6 / Specialist certification in Georgia. I am also Georgia certified in 6-12 Math and hold endorsements in Gifted Math and Special Education Math. I am presently teaching Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus at North Caroline High School in Ridgely, MD, but am comfortable teaching any math up through Pre-Calculus.

Prior to returning to the classroom in August of 2015, it had been almost twenty years since I had been a fulltime classroom teacher. I was active as a private tutor for many years, and because of that, my math and teaching skills were very well-honed. I re-entered the classroom six years ago, easily and with great energy. This year has been one like no other, but I easily transitioned to virtual teaching in a new school, then to hybrid teaching for the second half of the school year.
