we're being asked to simplify the falling expression in this case, we're being asked to add thes two Paulino meals will remember when we add Paulino meals, we simply need to use the computer and socially properties. So that way we can regroup and reorder our light terms together. So let's start with the first term negative eight X word. Well, it's like term is negative. 11 x word. So we'll be left with the quantity of negative eight X squared minus 11 x word. Our next term is negative. Three. Axe. Well, it's like term is positive. Six. X so we can group these together. So what? Plus the quantity of negative three X plus six X and then you notice that we're still left with this term positive tent. It doesn't have a life term, but we still need to account for it. Our final answer. So we'll just bring down a positive test. Now we just need to combine our life terms when the first set of parentheses. We have negative eight X squared minus 11 x squared. Well, negative. Minus 11 is negative. 19. So we'll have negative 19 export and our second set of prophecies we have negative three X plus six X Well, negative. Three post six is positive. Three. So what? Positive Three X. And then again, we're just gonna bring down the positive 10 for our final answer. So the answer The part a is negative. 19 X squared plus three x plus 10. Well, now, let's take a look at part B. You'll know this. It looks very familiar. Depart A. But the difference here is now we're being asked to subtract thes two palling all meals. Well, don't forget when we subtract Paulino meals, what we're going to do is we're gonna bring down the terms in the first, probably no meal. So we'll have negative eight X squared minus three x now for the second polynomial, which is the one getting subtracted from the first. What we need to do is change the signs off each of the terms, and then we can drop the prophecies. So, in other words, that negative 11 X squared is going to become positive. 11 x squared. That positive six x will become negative six x and the positive 10 will become negative tone. And now we simply just need to combine like terms. Well, let's start with our first term. We have in the negative eight X Square and it's like term is positive. 11 X word. Well, negative eight plus 11 is positive. Three. So we'll have positive three X squared. Our next term is negative. Three x and its light term is negative. Six. X Well, negative three minus six is negative. Nine. So we'll have a negative Nynex. And like we mentioned before that, negative 10 does not have a late term, so we'll just bring that turned down for our final answer. So our final answer for part B is three X squared, minus nine x minus 10. So know this. Although the problems in A and B looked familiar, they really end up getting different answers.
