So first off before starting, the problem you have to realize is that this problem is on kiddo, Matics and physics and with Kenna Mannix problems in physics is that you use thes four equations right here that I have listed in this box. And the trick is that you're usually with these kind of problems that you're usually given three knowns and you're usually solve for the last unknown, which is your fourth note. So let's just see how that's gonna play out. So it says, a rock is dropped off a cliff and strikes the ground with an impact velocity of 30 meters per second. So it says, with impact velocity of 30 meters per second. That means is that the rock is initially traveling at a velocity of 30 meters per second. But let's backtrack and it says it was strikes the ground well before this is the velocity before it strikes the ground. But when it strikes the ground, that means the final velocity zero Also you also have to realize is that it says it was dropped off a cliff and with items that air dropped or in this case like this, that means is that acceleration is due to gravity.
