So here we're asked to consider the equilibrium between solid ammonium chloride and ammonia gas and hydrogen chloride gas. And the one piece of information that we're given is it equilibrium. A sample ammonium chloride that has been able to reach equilibrium is the partial pressure of ammonia is equal to 1.75 atmospheres. And what we know, based on the reaction equation is since we are dealing with the ah, the equilibrium with a solid the only species that are gonna be included in the equilibrium expression are the partial pressure of ammonia and the partial pressure of hydrogen chloride gas. The other thing we know is that if you put a sample of ammonium chloride within this reaction vessel, the ratio of the ammonia gas to the hydrogen chloride gas that comes out is gonna be 1 to 1. So what we can say from that is, since this is at equilibrium, we're assuming that Ah, the ammonium chloride. That is the only source I've heard. You're included. Gas. We can see that the hydrogen chloride gas has the same partial pressure, which means that the KP for this reaction is gonna be 1.75 times 1.75 which is equal to 3.6 atmospheres, although this number will ultimately be you, Nicholas.
