All right, So for this question, we are viewing a bug three convex lens while the bug is 1.8 centimeters away from the ones we don't know the focal length of the lens. I mean, don't know the distance of the image that we're viewing it from, but we do know that when we view the book through the lens, it is magnified by 2.5 times. That means our magnification is a positive 2.5. Since we're reviewing a virtual image through a lens. All right, so we're gonna use a magnification of 2.5 in order to find the distance of the image by using a magnification equation, saying the modifications equal to the negative image distance over the object distance. So you can say that 2.5 times the object distance it's gonna equal to the negative image distance. It's the image distance. If we do, our math correctly, must be able to negative 4.5 centimeters. And we can use this to find the focal length of the lens. We can set user lens equation. To say one over the focal length of the lens is gonna be equal to one over the object distance, which we know to be 1.8 centimeters minus 1/4 0.5 centimeters. Our image distance. And if we do this correctly that we should get a universe focal length, he going to 1/3 being that our focal length of the lens is equal to three centimeters, not the final answer.
