00:01 So this question is asking about a stroke patient and the patient cannot see objects or cannot pay attention to objects in the left field of his vision.

00:14 He can pay attention to objects in the right field of his vision.

00:18 So he can see objects anywhere in his field of vision, but he can only pay attention to objects in his right field of vision.

00:27 And so the question then asks us what part of the brain we can.

00:31 Think have been damaged in stroke.

00:34 So i think really in order, this is kind of a tricky question here.

00:38 So we're going to diagram out the different hemispheres of the brain and how those relate to how we see things in our different fields of vision and then how those connect together and how we how we see those things.

00:50 So i'm going to start here by drawing the brain from a top view.

00:56 So this is like if we were looking down on the top of somebody's head, this is what their brains look like.

01:04 So we have the two hemispheres here.

01:06 So we have the left hemisphere and then the right hemisphere here.

01:17 And the person's eyes, what are the eyes in blue, would be here in the front.

01:27 Draw some of the pupils and the optic nerve of the eyes is going to cross from the left eye to the right hemisphere and from the right eye to the left hemisphere here so they're going to cross the optic nerves and if we are to divide this field of vision up we're going to draw a dotted line down the middle here just like that.

02:05 So another important thing to include in this picture is going to be our corpus callosum.

02:13 And so that's an anatomical feature of the brain.

02:18 It's basically the connection between the left hemisphere here and the right hemisphere on our brain.

02:28 And so the corpus callosum is this network of, of nerves that enables the left hemisphere to talk with the right hemisphere.

02:40 So our patient here who has suffered the stroke is able to see things or pay attention to objects in the right field.

02:57 And so for objects that are in the right field, he's gonna pick it up here with this, the right eye...
