An experiment is designed to study the effect diet has on uric acid level. The study includes 20 white rats. Ten rats are randomly selected and given a junk-food diet; the other 10 rats receive a high-fiber, low-fat diet. Uric acid levels of the two groups are determined. so 10 rats were given healthy food and 10 were given unhealthy food. And then we're measuring some stuff about them. What type of sample is this? This is an independent sample because the rats are not interacting with each other in any way related to their eating. The healthy rats do not impact the unhealthy rats in any way. So are two samples are completely independent from one a number.
