Hello, everybody. Uh, today we're going to be solving this story problem. An online music store is having a sale. Any song costs 75 cents and any ring tone cost 50 cents American by six songs and to audio books for the same price A spiv, rentals and three audiobooks. What is the cost of an audiobook? So when solving these equations when solving these problems, it sometimes helps to write out the information, you know, because it can sometimes be overwhelming. So this we know that the song price over here the song costs 75 cents. So we know the song price is 75 cents, the ringtone costs 50 cents. And, uh, since this is going to be an algebraic equation, we're just going to let the audio book price be sent to a So, um, our first step is what s So we know that American by six songs and to audio books, so six songs is equal to six times the price of each song. So six times and as we see over here, 75 cents plus two story books and so we get six times 35 plus two A is equal to. And then over here we say that she can buy five ring tones and three audio books for the exact same price. So we get this is equal to five times the price of each of each room tone, which is 50 cents plus three eight. So to further evaluate this, we can multiply these two terms out in these two terms. Out do you get 150 plus two? A is equal to 250 plus three A. Subtract both sides by two A. To get 4 50 is equal to 250 plus a. Now our last step is going to be to subtract both sides by 250. To get A is equal to 200. So over here we have been using sense the unit sense the whole time. So 200 cents is equal to $2 and it doesn't specify which units it wants, uh, audiobook to be in. So either $2 or two innocents are both viable
