As we have seen, inbreeding can reduce offspring fitness by exposing deleterious recessive alleles. However, some animal breeders practice generations of careful inbreeding within a family, or "line breeding," and surprisingly many of the line-bred animals, from champion dogs to prize cows, have normal health and fertility. How can it be possible to continue inbreeding for many generations without experiencing inbreeding depression due to recessive alleles? (Hint: Consider some of the differences between animal breeders and natural selection in the wild.) Generally, if a small population continues to inbreed for many generations, what will happen to the frequency of the deleterious recessive alleles over time?

animal beaters sometimes utilize inbreeding, and yet they still result in healthy animals. How is this possible? How is it that inbreeding depression does not occur? So let's remind ourselves, inbreeding is thievy mating between to genetically related organisms. So and a inbreeding depression is when there is harmful recessive a wheels that begin to increase in frequency. So the increase. So the benefit that animal breeders have is that they can choose which animals to mate so that they ensured that the harmful recess of a wheels are being selected against. So animal breeders are able to avoid this inbreeding depression by being able to choose, uh, choose meats between organisms saved like a line of dogs or camels. They're able to see which organism may have that harmful recess of a wheel. And make sure that it does not meet with another organism or individual who has the same harmful recess of illegals. And this will make sure that the frequency of the harmful arrest recess if it wheels does not increase, and thus there's no inbreeding depression now in the wild. Normally, if a small population in breeds for many generations, this will not occur normally, an inbreeding depression will occur. So the difference is that a wild population will have an increase in those armful recessive Leal's if inbreeding occurs and their frequency will increase.
