So in this problem, we are given the reaction ch for gas plus for C L to gas form's CCL for gas plus for HCL gas, and we want to determine the Delta h of reaction. And so to do this, we're given the reactions. See solid plus two h two gas form C H for gas with adult age of negative seventy four point six. Killer Jules Ah, we're also giving the reactions solid carbon plus two C l to gas form's CCL for gas with a Delta H of negative ninety five point seven. Kill it, Jules. And then finally were given that h two gas plus C l to gas forms to hcl gas with the Delta H negative ninety two point three. Kill it, Jules. And so what we're going to do is combine these three equations such that they add up to our equation of interest. And so I'LL begin with this on the next page for the first equation, we're going to flip it and then flip the delta H so that it is positive instead of negative. And so that equation becomes ch for gas form's solid carbon plus two age to gas and the Delta H becomes seventy four point six. Killer Jules Positive. And so, with the second equation, we can just leave it as it is so solid. Carbon plus two seal to gas form's CCL for gas. And we keep our delta H as it is Negative ninety five point seven. Kill it, Jules. And then for our third equation Ah, we don't need to reverse it, but we do need to double it. And so will write to H two gas plus two C l to gas forms for HCL gas. And then we'll also double the delta h so it becomes negative. One eighty four point six Killa Jules. And so now we can add all these up r to h two's will cancel and are solid carbons were canceled. And so we end up with ch for gas. We end up with four C l too, because we have two times two and then that forms CCL for gas plus for HCL gas. And so this is our equation of interest. And so now we can just add up our delta h is. And when we do this, we get negative two o five point seven killa jewels and that will be our final answer
