this fresh and asks whether each of the following er occurrences is end over X, a thermic and then what is the sign of Delta H, and so the first one is gasoline burning. This would be excellent, thermic and therefore having negative Delta H. And the reason for this is that anything burning is going to release energy and is therefore X a thermic. The second is steam condensing on a mirror. This is also X, a thermic with a negative delta age, and the reason for this is that it's going from a gas to a liquid, and therefore the gas has higher energy than the liquid. And so it is releasing that excess energy. Ah si is water boiling in a pot that is endo thermic with a positive Delta H. And the reason for that is that in order to get the water boiling, you have to put heat into the system with a ah stovetop burner, and so therefore, this would be extra thermic or endo thermic and have a positive delta H
