All right, so this question was asking us to do some data analysis from the experiment.
00:06
So the experiment set up was that we had two groups of chimpanzees, and each group, one female had been taken.
00:13
She had been separated from the group and taught a skill.
00:16
She'd been taught how to use a stick.
00:17
And then she was reintroduced into the group.
00:20
And the behavior of the group was observed over a period of time to see how many of the chimpanzees would adopt the exact same behavior of using the stick in a certain.
00:31
Way.
00:32
So looking at our graphs, graph one, which were the initial results, both of the groups showed that at least 50 % of the chimpanzees were using the stick as a tool exactly as the female had been taught.
00:44
So a few of the chimpanzees in each group were observed using an alternative method.
00:49
So they were using the stick as a tool, but they weren't using it the same way as the female who had been taught a skill.
00:56
So they were not counted in the results.
01:01
So we'll get graph two.
01:03
The difference in this graph, it was two months later.
01:05
So they wanted to see how many of the chimpanzees were still using the stick in the same way that the female had been taught and then later passed on to the group.
01:15
So two months later, though numbers were really, really down...
