in this problem, we're being asked to fill in the table. And if you know this for both of our cases for light and sound were both trying to figure out the total distance Well at the top of the table were given that the rate times the time is equal to distance. So as you know this, I read with that formula at the top of my screen. So let's first take a look at the light scenario. We were told that the re is 186,282 miles per second, and the time is 60 seconds. We want to know the distance traveled while according to our formula, we simply need to multiply the rate by the time. So, in other words, we need to multiply 186,000 282 miles per second times 60 seconds, and that will give us our distance. Well, if you know this, our units for seconds are both gonna cancel each other out. So our final answer in units will be miles. Now. We simply need to multiply 186,282 times 60 and when we do that? What we're going to get is one is 11 million 176,000 920. And again our units are miles, so that will be the distance for light in 60 seconds. Well, to find the distance for sound, it's going to be very similar again. We need to multiply the rate times the time. So we're gonna multiply 1000 80 beat per second times 60 seconds, and that will give us our distance. Well, similar to for light. The units for seconds are both going to cancel each other out. So our final answer, June it's are just going to be feet now. We simply need to multiply 1088 by 60. And what we find is we get 65,000 280. Like we said, our units are feet and that will be the distance for sound in 60 seconds.
