So imagine for this question we're going to be talking about or for this scenario, we're going to be imagining that we're taking an experiment or we're taking a survey to find what's the heights and weights of all the people in our class.

And then we're going to be putting into a scatter plot.

So imagine we might end up with something like here are a bunch of weights here on the x -axis and here are a bunch of heights on the y -axis.

It's not a perfect correlation, but it does seem like as people's heights go up, their weight goes up, there seems to be some sort of correlation.

And you can really do this with any sort of experiment you want to run, whether it be any or any survey you want to take, any information about your classmates or your family members, whether it be their height weights, their grades, their social habits, anything like that.
