we can grab the equation y equals negative six x by creating a table of values and then plotting the corresponding points. Okay, let's start by selecting some values for X that we can substitute into the equation and find corresponding. Why values? I like to start with the points where the values negative 10 and one because they're typically easier to calculate. If we substitute negative one for X into our equation, we have y equals negative six times negative. One. Simplifying this we have y equals positive. Six. So when excess negative one why is positive? Six. That corresponds to the point Negative 16 which we can plot on our graph. X is negative. One. Why is six and there's our first solution? Let's do the same for when X is zero. Why equals negative? Six times zero simplified. We have y equals zero. So in ex zero, why is zero which corresponds to the 00.0 and on our graph, that's right at the origin for our second solution. One more solution. Um, let's substitute one and for X and we have why is equal to negative six times one simplified. We have y equals negative six. So when X is one, why is native six in this corresponds to the 60.1 negative six. We can plot this on our graph excess one. Why is negative six and then carefully draw a line through these three solutions and we'll have the graph of our equation. I highly recommend using a straightedge to make sure your line is straight lines a little bit crooked, but you get the general idea.
