COORDINATE AXIS SCALE Each function described below models the specified data for the years 1998 through 2008, with $t=8$ corresponding to 1998. Estimate a reasonable scale for the vertical axis (e.g., hundreds, thousands, millions, etc.) of the graph and justify your answer. (There are many correct answers.)
(a) $f(t)$ represents the average salary of college professors.
(b) $f(t)$ represents the U.S. population.
(c) $f(t)$ represents the percent of the civilian workforce that is unemployed.

Okay, So let's figure out what kind of units makes sense for the vertical axis. If we're talking about the average salary of Count College professors so I would go with thousands or maybe even 10 thousands. Because a college professor chances are makes somewhere between 150,000 somewhere in there for the U. S. Population. We would measure that in millions and for the percent unemployed, Notices says percent unemployed. So unemployment rate could be something like 3%. 4% 5% 10%. Right now we're in the middle of 2020 and we have a Corona virus pandemic, and the unemployment rate has skyrocketed to like 20%. But still, I would probably go with something like ones for that. So those would be reasonable answers. And there are many correct answers, so this might vary from person to person.
