So it&#x27;s reactive, which is a chemical property. It&#x27;s also clear and colorless. Um, or else we would see it in the air. 1/3 1 could be something like rock. Um, rock tends to have lots of different things in it, but it is a substance because itself it has its own properties. Rock tends to be hard. You can list colors for different types of rocks so you could specify the type of Rex the substances air really almost anything. this question is really interesting. It&#x27;s essentially an argument for why we should preserve as much biodiversity is possible in our ecosystems. So let&#x27;s look at a couple of examples. First of all, we all know snakes could be highly venomous and can actually cause harms harm to humans. So as surface level, it would seem as though it&#x27;s not a good thing to preserve sneak biodiversity. However, on second look, you may find that sometimes snake venom can be used for really important things that benefit humans, such as medications. So a couple of snake species produce venoms that we have now taken advantage of and use and harvested to create all kinds of really important medicines that are valuable for human health, such as blood pressure, medicine. And so snake Biodiversity is something that&#x27;s important to preserve because these highly complex venoms that they&#x27;re creating can actually be collected, used and harnessed for different purposes in order to help human health. Another example would be things like secondary compounds that are produced in plants. So we all know that plants can&#x27;t simply stand up and run away when a predator of pathogen is invading them and because of this. They often produce really complex molecules in order to defend themselves. So things like poisons or anti fungal zor antibiotics in orderto ward off pathogens and invaders, since they can&#x27;t simply run away. Now, here I&#x27;m showing a picture of a plant isn&#x27;t getting a fungal infection. And what we&#x27;re not seeing is that this plan is probably actively producing compounds that are going to go out to fight this fungal infection in order to mitigate some of this damage. And, in fact, we can use these types of compounds, we can harvest them from plants and use them for our own health. Use them for things like antibiotics, fungus, sides and more. And so these are just two examples. But you can see that the more about diversity that&#x27;s available on Earth, the more variety of compounds that we can use and collect in order to essentially utilize them for human health.
