Alternative Splicing

Alternative splicing is a post-transcriptional modification process in which different combinations of exons are joined together during the processing of pre-messenger RNA. This mechanism allows a single gene to generate multiple mRNA variants, each of which can be translated into protein isoforms with distinct structural and functional properties. Alternative Polyadenylation
