And the question that we need to ask for this problem is is this a function? Well, to answer that we need to look at the definition of a function, So a function is a set of ordered pairs obtained somehow we don't really care how we obtain it, but it's a set of ordered pairs so that each element that comes in first in the order pair there corresponds a unique second element. Another way to think of that is for every input. Every input goes to exactly one output. Okay, So if I had, for example, if I had three as an input, maybe it goes to six. Well, I can't also go to seven. It has toe have exactly one output that corresponds with that input. So let's take a look at the numbers that we've been given here. We have four distinct inputs. Each input. Each X is different. Each one of those is going to exactly one output. It satisfies the definition. So, yes, this is a function
