# Determine the amplitude, period, and phase shift for the given function. Graph the function over one period. Indicate the $x$ -intercepts and the coordinates of the highest and Iowest points on the graph.$$y=\sin \left(2 x-\frac{\pi}{2}\right)$$

so we have. Why is equal to sign off to X minus pi over two. And this can be rewritten as why is he called to sign two times X minus pi over four. So the amplitude is one. The period is to type divided by two, which is equal to five. And then we have a face shift. Oh, hi Over four and on the graph, you can see that the X intercepts that are too. So there's the X intercept, which is that X is equal to high or four and another one with extra co two the pi over four. And on the graph, you can actually see that the maximum value off the function is one, and then the minimum value off the function is a negative one.
