for this problem, we're referencing set W that we saw in Exercise eight. Now we're going to define two different things for Set W. We wanted to fine both the domain and the range for this set. So let's start with domain. The domain for a set or for a function are the inputs, the numbers that you can put into the set or into the function when you have ordered pairs. That's the first number in the ordered pair or the X values for your set. So let's look at set W What are our inputs? Try that one again. What are the inputs? Where the X values when we have four numbers one, 23 and four. Those four numbers together make up the domain of W. What about the range? Well, domain is the input range is the output. It's the values that I get out of my function or it's the second number in the ordered pairs when I have a set. So they're my Y values that second number. What do I have for a second number in this case, every single why value is exactly the same. So when I have my range, my range is made up of the number five, even though it appears in four different points. I only have to list it once when I do the range. I'm just showing that that is the number in the range. I'm not showing how often it appears. So my domain has four numbers. 1234 The range, though, on Lee has won a single number five because it only is the only value that shows up in the Y.
