So here we're looking to determine whether structures are polar or non polar. So if they're polar, that means that we have an overall die poll if it's non polar and that means we have a net die poll of zero. So with a, so the central atom chlorine is attached to three oxygen atoms and it has lone pairs on it. So we have a parameter, all geometry. So the geometry of the iron is not symmetric. We have the C. O bonds that is polar, so it has a net dipole moment. And so we find that our Ryan here is polar. Continuing on. We've got the SCL bond is polar, where the central atom is sulfa which is attached to chlorine atoms and has two lone pairs on it. So we can determine our geometry is being bent and the geometry of the iron is not symmetric so therefore it has a net dipole moment. And so again we've got another polar molecule. So with part C. We have S. C. L. Bonds which are considered polar because we have a difference in electro negativity. And so the central atom of sulfur is attached to four chlorine atoms and it has one lone pair so have a seesaw geometry. And so our sample geometry of the iron is not symmetric. So we have a net die poll again. So this is polar and looking a part D. Here. So we have B. R. C. Albums. So they're polar because we have a slight different an electoral negativity. And so the central atom bro mean is attached to five chlorine atoms and as one lone pair. So the geometry is square pyramidal. And so the geometry of the iron is not symmetric, so it has a net die paul moment. And so the molecule is polar.
