We know that $2\pi$ is a complete revolution around the unit circle. So, we can subtract multiples of $2\pi$ from $15 \pi / 4$ until we get an angle that lies within the unit circle. In this case, we subtract $2\pi$ (or $8\pi/4$) once to get $7\pi/4$.
