Explain the dif erence between a manometer and a barometer.
Manometer is an instrument which measures the pressure in fluid for any defined measuring range, generally lower than atmospheric pressure.Where as a barometer is modified manometer which measures atmospheric pressure

question Number three asks us to make a distinction between Ayman Ometer and a barometer a man. Ometer is usually a U shaped tube that measures a relative pressure, the pressure on one side versus the pressure on the other side. If both of them are open to the atmosphere, then the height of the tube is going to be equal because the pressures air the same. However, if we were to close off one of these sides and add in some additional gas, then that's going to increase the pressure here with respect to over here. Over here, it's still going to be atmospheric, Pressure will say at one atmosphere of pressure. But if we increase the pressure on the right hand side, relative to the left hand side, the way that it compensates is this moves down and this moves up. And now this pressure created by the gas itself will be equal to atmospheric pressure, plus the pressure associated with the height of this column. So Manama, Turkey, then compares to pressures to each other, one pressure in an enclosed part of the U shaped tube and the other pressure. She's usually atmospheric pressure. So in this case, the pressure inside is greater than the pressure outside a barometer. It's just a single tube that measures pressure relative to the atmosphere based on the height of a column. So a barometer is measuring this pressure. There is a vacuum right here, meaning no pressure. So if this pressure is zero than the pressure outside, atmospheric pressure must correspond to exactly the height of this column. And that's the barometer. Well, over here is a man, ometer.
